I have been trying to think of some cool ideas for daily creates and I know my favorite ones are the assignments that have to do with pictures and gets the class thinking about daily routines or objects in a new way.
- Describe your daily routine in four pictures, then make a collage and post it on twitter.
- Draw a background to this picture of a stick figure that will explain his sadness.
3. Create a logo for your host character.
This week for daily creates we had to do two. I did Monday’s which was writing a tongue-twister about my host character, and Tuesday’s which was a “Missing” poster for a character from Sweeney Todd. They both were posted on twitter with hashtags.
Here are my tweets for the Daily Creates taken from my twitter account.
“And the lady, sir … did she skive?
Oh, that was many years ago…
I doubt if anyone would know.
I owe you my life, Anthony. If you
hadn’t spotted me, It would have gone to pot
with me still in the ocean … Thank you.
Will I see you again?
You might find me, if you like, around
Until then, mate.”
This is one of the opening scenes of Sweeney Todd. Using British slang, I changed a few of the lines to add in some words from the list of words in the link below.
